Welcome to Systems Engineering Facility
Introduction
The main charter of Systems and Packaging Lab at CeNSE-IISc are to provide the following
TEAM
Support Staff and Students of CeNSE & IISc on design and development of systems based on New or Existing Technology and Package Nanosensors as per the requirements.
COLLABORATIION WITH TBI
Support TBI (Start up’s) for bringing New Technology to Life. This is achieved by developing POC ( Proof of Concept) to Protos to Final Production transfer.
FOR RESEARCHERS
Enter into newer areas in Embedded Systems and Packaging Technologies and use the facility for Make in India.
Mission
Systems Engineering Facility ( SysEF) in CeNSE-IISc mission is to design and develop intelligent systems based on new Technologies developed at CeNSE-IISc such as Nano Sensors of Various Types.
These Intelligent Systems can also be an IOT offering Products as a Solution. The Design and Development of Custom or Specification based System Development for the industry.
The Systems Engineering Facility also helps Technology Incubation Centre at CeNSE-IISc to bring out new Technologies and building protoptypes and taking it to mass production after several processes such as understanding new technology, developing prototypes, build pilot product and scale it to production.
Vision
The vision of SySEF at CeNSE-IISc is to build new areas of expertise and indigenisation of all technologies as far as possible offering cost & time conscious solutions and design services to all its stake holders.

- Hardware Design – Analog, Digital and Power Electronics
- Firmware Development- Bootup and Interface for Peripherals and Device Drivers.
- Software Development- Design of Application Software for checking various functionalities of Embedded Hardware.
Customized Application Software on Linux/ Windows based system.
- Mechanical Housing Design with Plastic Moulding, SS types for Mass Manufacturing.
- Customised Embedded System Design which encompasses all the above activities.

- Mechanical Design Modelling, Analysis
- Pressure sensor calibration setup,
- Calibrated Particulate matter counter,
- Various gas & pressure sensors,
- Electronic modules & components and
- Processor based evaluation kits
- Temperature and RH Chambers for Environmental Tests

This Facility is available for
- All faculty members, students & staff members of CeNSE
- Collaborating faculty members from all other departments/centre of IISc
- Academic/ industrial collaborators of CeNSE through Industrial Affiliate Program.
- Customers who are Working on Various Projects with CeNSE/IISc
- It is also available for startup’s under TBI of CeNSE-IISc
